Addie Mae Amber Cherry Tomato Seeds
Tomatoes
Description
Exclusive Farm Release: This storefront is the exclusive origin and only authorized commercial source for authentic Addie Mae Amber tomato seeds. Developed through six seasons of rigorous on-farm selection, this distinct variety is available exclusively through our nursery.
Stabilized directly from the renowned Honeycomb hybrid, Addie Mae Amber captures the concentrated sweetness, thin skin, and aromatic floral-honey notes of the original F1 line. Through careful de-hybridization and strict culling, we have locked in those traits into a fully stable, true-to-type, open-pollinated variety. You get the exquisite dessert-quality flavor of a modern hybrid, with the complete independence of being able to save your own true seed year after year.
Compared to its parent stock, Addie Mae Amber produces slightly more compact, bite-sized cherry fruits (0.75 to 1 inch in diameter) along extended, highly productive trusses. The fruit matures from bright yellow to a luminous, translucent amber-orange with exceptional split resistance. The vigorous indeterminate vines crop heavily and continuously until the first killing frost.

Planting Instructions
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before your average last spring frost date. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in sterile seed starting mix and maintain soil temperatures around 70 to 85°F for optimal germination. Provide bright light once emerged. Harden off starts gradually and transplant outdoors into rich, well-draining soil after all frost risk has passed and nights stay above 50°F. Space plants 24 to 36 inches apart. Because this is a vigorous, indeterminate variety reaching 5 to 7 feet, provide sturdy stakes, trellises, or tall cages at planting time. Water at the root level and keep moisture consistent throughout fruiting.
